Random Draft

The new Random Draft will allow for ‘BUSTS’ in the early rounds and ‘GEMS‘ in the late rounds. That means that a player with a high potential may actually not pan out, and conversely a player who had low potential and was drafted in the 4th or 5th round may be a hall of fame starter. Now, the later round picks have definite value as the opportunity exists for acquiring a great player late in the Draft.

Rookie Scouting

What would make the SimDraft even more exciting? Scouting!

During the days before and up until the draft, you can Scout players to see what kind of “risk” they may be. There are four categories of player: Gem, Safe, Risk, and Bust.

Each team owner is given a fixed number of Scouting Reports, so you as the owner must strategically choose which players you wish to scout as you cannot scout the entire draft class.

Holdouts

Another new element that will released is “Holdouts.” Adding realism to your Roster, your late round Gems will demand a higher salary as they develop and realize their skill and contribution to your team. Your Salary Cap skills will be tested when you decide between keeping them or trading them away to make room in your Cap.
